The Animals Are Here!

So this is a new series I started today while out sick from "over-partying"(if you can call it that) this weekend.

The series is a comical bunch with a few yet to be finalized titles. I came up with "the Dilly Dally Society" and "The Distinguished Gentlecritters" for now, but the name aside, this is about animal heads on human bodies.

I don't usually draw animals, so this one took a bit of time in figuring out how I wanted to portray a texture, and I almost wandered into doing photoshop for all the textures but I felt that would take too long.

After the initial workup, Heather pointed out each piece needs a little nuance to make it interesting. Hence, the cup of tea(or milk) and the afro comb. I think it worked out nicely.

This is a contrast to my "Robot Academy" pieces where there's plenty of detail, this time I'm trying to make it simpler.
